Is the Sony branding and Edge compatibility worth paying more for?

If you own or plan to buy a DualSense Edge, the Sony dock solves something the PowerA one can't — charging it. Outside of that, both docks charge two standard DualSense controllers at once and keep the desk tidy; the $5 difference mostly buys the PS5-matched finish and Sony's own brand backing, not a feature you'd actually miss day to day.

The PowerA dock makes up for the missing Sony badge with an explicit 2-year limited warranty, something not called out on the Sony dock's own listing. For most players who only own standard DualSense controllers, it's the more pragmatic pick.
